Crystal Glaze Session

Wednesday 1st April
at the Adults Evening session starting 7.30pm

Thursday 2nd April 10.30am



You will be able to choose an item of your choice and the colour of the crystal glaze. Crystal glazes are coloured glazes which contain crystals (the glaze I use to fire painted pieces is clear). It is the crystals which melt and run when fired which creates the unique patterns on the finished item. No two items will ever be the same as the crystals vary in size and will be on different parts of the pottery each time.

I will teach you how to paint and glaze
 the item inside first the easy way!

Then I will teach you how to apply the crystal glaze evenly to achieve the best result. This is a useful tip for general painting also.
The session will last about 2 hours.

The charge for this session is
Studio fee of £6 for the crystal glaze and firing plus
the cost of the item you choose to paint
Suggested items are jugs / vases / plant pots / tea pots and smooth surfaced ornaments price range £9-£17.
