Mosaic Painting fits in with many cultures you may study!

This is a painiting technique used to create a mosaic style which would occur with tile pieces cut to shapes randomly.

Science
Firstly did you know when firing clay it can still be turned back to soft clay if its still under 560 degrees in temp, above this the molecules have changed and can't go back to being soft. We fire to 1060 degrees to give the clay item durability. Using coloured  pottery glazes - oxidise when fired to give final colour.
